Well, as of March 9th, we will be residents of Boulder Ridge subdivision in Champaign. We got our financing confirmed today, and negotiated the terms from the inspection, so we are good to go! We close on our current house at 9:00 am on 3/9, and our new one at 10:00 am. Woot!
Our new house is everything we have prayed for. It will take awhile to get the inside decorated on our super tight budget, but all in due time. Plus Pinterest is going to be quite useful!

Christmas (long overdue)
We had a great Christmas with both families this year, though we all agree that we aren't going to be running all over Christmas Eve and day next year, and are going to try to separate things more to spend more quality time with each family.
To start off the Christmas season, Jason, Annabelle and I got to play Joseph, Jesus and Mary at Axiom's Christmas service. It was fun!
We had our own little (and by little I mean four feet tall) tree set up in our living room. We didn't want to get the big one out since our house was for sale.
We spent Christmas Eve and Day with Jason's family. Annabelle and her cousin Sophia were the centers of attention!
Jason's brother, Johnny, painted beautiful portraits of the girls sleeping for Jason's mom and step dad.
Their sister came into town from Arizona and got to meet Annabelle for the first time!
We went to Christmas Eve service at our church, and had a great photo taken by the beautifully decorated fireplace.
Grams got Annabelle a book called "How big is a pig?" She hadn't read it first...the last page of the book says, "My mom is the biggest one of all!" LOL! It was a hilarious moment as I was reading the book out loud.
...and we got to crack open a bottle of my favorite bubbly to celebrate a great year.
The holiday was wonderful, and we had a great time with our families! We were blessed beyond measure with gifts and with love.

How Mojo spends his time.
In an effort to save money, we have been trying to keep our thermostat low, and have been using this space heater periodically. This is how Mojo spends 99% of his time when the space heater is turned on:
The rest of the time he spends giving us this look (poor boy hasn't had as much attention since Annabelle has been around!):
| Seriously. Is this kid going to be around forever?! |
Visitors!
Before they left for South Africa, our friend Val and her kiddos stopped by to say hello (and goodbye!). We missed you, Dan!

Houses...long story short(ish):
So, I could go into a lot of detail about the house situation, but it would be long, and I have approximately 30 minutes before Annabelle wakes up to make this post, wash my hair and put my makeup on.
So here's the run down:
Beginning of December--felt like God was telling me to fast from reading facebook and blogs, and pray for our house to sell. We had a few showings in the month of December.
December 23rd--Buyer came through the first time--really liked our house, but couldn't make an offer until after the first of the year.
December 31--Jason's side-job that he produced got canceled officially. 1/3 of our income was cut with the canceling of that show. (Me trying not to panic).
January 2nd--Buyer came through the second time.
January 5th--We got an offer on our house!
January 6th--Signed a contract with our buyer. Praise Jesus! We would close March 30th. But, we weren't sure what we were going to do since we didn't have enough money to stay in this house, let alone buy another one. Also on January 6th, Jason got a potential job offer to be a youth pastor in Morrison, IL. Could that be from God?
January 15th--Went to visit the church in Morrison, and both of us felt confirmation that we were to stay in Champaign. Still weren't sure what we were going to do.
Mid-Januaryish--God brought us a couple of miracles that equal the exact amount we lost from All Worship being canceled. WOW, God is good!!!
We started looking for houses again.
January 27th--fell in love with a house at 509 Dunbar in Mahomet, and made an offer.
January 28th--someone else fell in love with the same house, and made an offer.
January 30th--the seller went with the other offer. But God is STILL good, and we weren't worried.
January 31st--Went out to look at a few more houses. Fell in love even harder with 1307 Farley Ln. in Champaign. The Mahomet house doesn't even BEGIN to compare. Thanks to a blessing from my parents, after crunching the numbers we decided that we are going to make an offer.
...and that brings me to today! February 1st. My parents and Jason's parents are coming into town this evening to be extra eyes and walk through the house with us again. If it looks good, we are making an offer tonight!! Praying this one goes through.
