budget priorities

We are on a tight budget. Why? Because we have debt. Why? Because we made bad choices.
Now that we have that out of the way...

We are trying to refinance our house. In order to refinance, we had to have the house reappraised. The good thing is that it came out to a few thousand more than what we paid for the house, so the value has increased. yay! The bad thing is that the appraiser said we need to get new garage doors in order for the refinancing to happen. poop.

We do not have cash for new garage doors. BUT, we would save a lot of money by refinancing. Soooooo...what's the priority? choices, choices....why can't things just be easy???
