The nursery is finally done! I finished organizing all of the "stuff" and putting things away, and I'm so happy with the way this room turned out. I couldn't ask for a better nursery! I feel so much more at home in this house now that we have decorated and hung things on the walls...more on that later. Without further ado, here is where baby Rackow is going to call home!

This is the view from the doorway. The crib was a gift from Jason's mom, and I love the classic lines of it. The bedding and curtains were made by my mom and me, and I found a great green matching rug and lamp at Target. Gotta love the back-to-school sales! The "mobile" is decorations from one of my showers, and the art on the wall is obviously Jason's skill. My mom found the awesome glider at a garage sale for about $40, and recovered the heinous fabric with solid brown--it looks AMAZING. The blanket on the back of the chair was crocheted by my mom's co-worker--it could NOT match the colors in the nursery better than it does.

The rest of the furniture in the room was my great-grandma's! I had it growing up in my room, and my parents let us take it for our baby. It matches the crib, and fits in the room just right. Two dressers, a bookshelf, and a corner desk. For now, baby's room will double as an office until we buy a bigger house. But, it works great for now! We got lots of baskets from our showers, and Target had some great fabric bins that fit nicely on the shelves. They are storing my breast-pump parts, lotions/bath soaps, toys, first-aid/medicine stuff, and breastfeeding supplies. We also have tons of books (thank you, dear friends!), which we are so thankful for!

We found this little table on the side of the road in someone's garbage pile. We asked if we could have it, and the guy said yes! It matches all of the other furniture, and looks brand-new. I have no idea why he was getting rid of it. The names in the crib are the two we have picked out, and their Hebrew meaning. I'm planning on having vinyl wall art designed with whichever name we use, and putting it above the crib.

This is my super-exciting changing station :) We got this awesome cart as a shower gift (also from Target!). It was a pain in the booty to put together, but holds all of the diaper stuff perfectly. I also got a matching brown garbage can (seriously, keeping Target in business here), and after 2 failed attempts, made a diaper pail-liner for it. My friend Morgan made and gave us the cute artwork hanging above the changing pad. It works great in the room!

aaaand last but not least, the desk. Boring. But, the painting hanging above the desk is not! Even though it doesn't "match" per say, it has special meaning. My great-grandma painted it, and it's so neat that it gets to hang in the baby's room now. It's raggedy Andy, and a few toys, in case you couldn't tell. Very cute.
So, that's the nursery! Now come on, baby, we're ready for you!
