a God story

This is an amazing story (and all quotations are approximate, since I wasn't there, and am relaying the information that Jason gave me).

Jason has been trying to sell his car for awhile now. We have been praying that it would happen, but nothing has really come about. We were starting to get nervous, because Jason's car insurance ends in 15 days, from today, and we didn't want to buy more insurance for a car he's trying to get rid of.

Two days ago, Jason's co-worker said, "You're going to sell your car tomorrow." She says she heard the still small voice of God say "Jason is going to sell his car tomorrow." Just like that. That simple. So they were shocked when, the next day, a guy walked into WBGL and said, "I hear someone in here is selling a car. Mine just broke down, so I want to buy it." Apparently this guy knew someone who saw Jason's car (decked out in for sale signs) in the parking lot at work. Jason came out and let the guy drive around. The guy said, "okay, sounds good. I'll give you what you're asking, in cash. Can you drive me home since my car broke down?" So Jason drove the guy home, and made plans to meet him at a mechanic in the morning for him to go over the car.

This morning, Jason got up and went to the mechanic to meet the car-buying-guy (don't know what his name is). The mechanic checked out the car, told the guy that he needed new tires, new wiper blades, an oil change, and something was leaking. The guy said, "okay," and told Jason to meet him at the bank to get the cash for the car. No haggling, no nothing. So, a couple of hours later, cash in hand, they were signing paperwork. That was when Jason learned that, in Illinois, the seller has to have insurance on the car for 15 days after selling the car. Why is that significant? Go back up and re-read the first part.

The car is officially sold, and no longer ours. Is God's timing cool, or what?!

Jason said, "I mean, it was odd how little he cared about the car. First time he's bought a car in 22 years. It's a good car. Don't get me wrong. But I was amazed at the smooth process."
