The first annual
Christie Clinic Illinois Marathon was a success! On Saturday the 11th at 8:00, the races started. Overall, I'm really happy how everything turned out. I was in charge of coordinating the medical aspect of the race, and while there are a lot of things that can go better/differently next year, it was overall a success. We only had one person go to the hospital, with chest pains and SOB.
The volunteers were awesome, too! I'm so thankful for everyone that came out to support the race.
Running-wise, my running buddy Joanna and I finished in 2:25...pretty impressive since she's 8 weeks pregnant!

I'm glad it's over, but it will be fun planning for next year starting in June!
