Last week our dishwasher broke :( The handle broke off, and we couldn't get it open, and it was full of dishes! We took off the front panel, but the handle is totally busted, but we managed to pry it open and get our dishes out. When we went to Lowe's, we asked how much they thought it would be to fix the dishwasher if we had a maintenance guy come, and the man at Lowe's said that our dishwasher is a really cheap one, and it would cost more than the thing was worth. Soooo we bought a new dishwasher. Praise the Lord that we recently got our tax refund!
(Old, crappy dishwasher. We were told at Lowe's that it's their biggest seller--because of the 700+ student rental units in town. Sigh. Obviously a cheapo.)

Owning a house is quite a learning experience! Add another item to the list of things we know how to do--installing a new dishwasher.
