A Beautiful Birth

Wednesday night I met with a good friend who asked me to help her during her birth, semi-last minute. To my utter surprise, I got a call from her on Thursday morning saying she was in labor, two weeks early! Without going into the details of her labor and delivery (not mine to tell!), I will say that it was an amazing, beautiful birth. She wanted to do it without drugs, and did, full of grace. I couldn't believe how strong and motivated she was throughout the whole thing. It was an awesome sight to behold when her precious little boy was born right after midnight, early Friday morning. She was my last "client," since I'm almost 6 months pregnant myself, and it was the BEST birth I could have seen as I get closer to doing it myself. She was truly an inspiration!
