The nursery!

It's still a work in progress as we continue to get stuff organized and hang up decorations, but the "bones" are in place.

All day Friday and Saturday were dedicated to sewing with my mom. It was such an awesome time! I learned so much from her, and it was a great time of bonding and chatting. She taught me how to make a bedskirt, and the curtains! Aside from fixing one minor ironing problem (apparently too hot of an iron can melt some fabrics...) I made the curtains entirely by myself! I was super proud. I also learned how to gather fabric for the bed skirt, which is a very fun thing to do.

My beautiful curtains! Love!

The 2-sided bumper that took my mom until 2:00 a.m. on Saturday to finish...those little ties took a LOT of time! Also a beautiful afghan that my mom's co-worker made for me. It matches perfectly! My mom is still working on the baby's quilt, but I got to see a few squares and they are ADORABLE. Can't wait to see the final product!
The crib, all finished! The bedskirt is the same fabric as the inside of the bumper, with the stripe on the bottom that matches the curtains. The Boppy that I got also happens to match, so I stuck it in the crib for a picture, hah.

Decorations from my baby shower that just happened to match the fabric perfectly. I snagged them to hang above the crib instead of a mobile.

The computer corner. It's in the corner of the nursery opposite the crib. Works just fine for now, and probably will for a few months after baby is born, since s/he will be sleeping with us for awhile.

The furniture in the last picture (minus the chair) was mine growing up, and my great-grandma's before that! It's so awesome to have it still in the family. There's a bookshelf that goes with it, but we didn't bring it down this trip. I LOVE that this furniture matches our crib, and that our child will grow up with it, too.

I still have some things to hang on the walls (which are all bare right now), and we have a lot of things to unpack/put away. I'm super excited for how it's turned out so far, though!!
