Today was a day of firsts.

1. Annabelle drank breast milk from a cup. Like, really drank it...didn't just play with it. It only took her 50 weeks of her life to figure out how to drink milk from something other than me!

2. She actively played with Mojo, and he played with her. She picked up his toys and ran around until he got it from her, then she chased him to get it back. Cute.

3. She split her lip open falling into the coffee table. Not cute. Mommy panicking at the site of her child's blood wasn't cute, either.

4. Annabelle decided that side walk chalk is better for eating than drawing. Yellow lipstick is obviously the color of the season.

5. She said "mama" for the first time in a context that convinced me that she knows I am mama. She was in her room, and I left to get something out of the laundry room. She came running over and shook the gate in her doorway and said, "Mama!" plain as day. No babbling mamamamama or anything. Just "mama!" My heart melted a little bit. :)
