Jason and I have really gotten into Chef Gordon Ramsay and his shows MasterChef and Hell's Kitchen on hulu. We were bummed when this season ended, but luckily have back seasons on Netflix :) We also both really love flipping through Fine Cooking and Eating Well magazines. So, since our date night budget line is a big fat zero, we decided to get creative and have some "cooking dates" at home. It's been a blast! We decide on something new or hard to make, do it together, and learn about and critique what we've done. Here are some of our creations...
| Lebanese Stuffed Cabbage Rolls |
| Wild Rice, Mushroom and Spinach Frittata with Prosciutto |
| Smoked Salmon and Dill Souffle's |
| Spinach and Salami Stromboli |
The cabbage rolls have been by far the best, but they were also the most complex to make. It took over an hour of hands on work to get those puppies done, but gosh they were good. We did the Souffle's tonight, and we took them out of the oven at different times to sort of see what would happen. The middle ones were just about perfect!
