the love of my life

I LOVE to vaccuum. Seriously. I don't know why, I just get some gross satisfaction sucking up dirt and hair and nastiness. Since we only have three rugs in our house, we've only had a small little hand held dust-buster with an "okay" filter that really doesn't do a great job sucking stuff up. Lately, Mojo has been shedding like crazy, so we went to Meijer to look at getting a more powerful small vaccuum. My mom, in her infinite wisdom, reminded me that we're going to be moving sometime this year, and we'll want a full-size upright when we have carpeting. Did I want to spend $50 now, and $100 later, or just $100 now? Smart, smart woman she is.

So, we GOT A VACCUUM CLEANER!!!! It's a Bissell Clean View Helix (doesn't that sound so fancy?! It was the cheapest one at Meijer). It's amazing. I am in love. I have vaccuumed every other day since we got it, to Mojo's extreme dismay. I tried to vaccuum him, but he ran away before I could get to him. He hates the thing. Beautiful, huh? It's even got turqoise on it, my favorite color!! The best part is that it has this little powerbrush you can connect to it...that think ROCKS at cleaning my couch!

Needless to say, I'm in love. It has a hard floor setting, so I've vaccuumed our wood floors a ton (do you have ANY idea how much hair and crumbs gets between the wood slats?! GROSS.), I've vaccummed the rugs, the kitchen floor, the couch, even Jason's shirt one time. I'm still going to try to get Mojo vaccuumed, but I really doubt he'll go for it. He IS the cause of the hair problem, though. so. you know. He does sort of deserve to be vaccuumed.

The first time I emptied the container, I was both ecstatic and appalled at what was in it. I can't believe we've been LIVING in that!! I mean, I clean our house, usually weekly. I wash the floors, lint-roll the couch, dust, etc. But this....this is a whole new level of clean. I LOVE IT. sigh.
