...and I am not impressed by how many things I have achieved on my goal list thus far!
1. Sell our house--We're re-listing it in February. Fingers crossed, and prayers lifted!
2. Buy a new house--can't do this until we achieve #1.
3. Sell my car--haven't even tried yet, though I have a friend who might be interested :)
4. Buy an SUV--won't do this until we achieve #3.
5. Get a new website for my business--this is on hold until after the baby comes, but I already know who is going to do it and I'm looking forward to working with him in the fall!
6. Have a baby--technically I haven't achieved this yet, though I am part way there!
7. Plant a garden that's more successful than this year's was--I'm dreaming about it, but I can't do it until spring time.
8. Read some classic literature--I am only 2 books away from finishing the Chronicles of Narnia series! It's amazing how little time I have to read "for pleasure" when I'm reading "for baby."
9. Go on a vacation with Jason that is actually fun and relaxing--we're going to Chicago in April to see Peter Pan! That reminds me that I need to book the hotel room.
10. Finish P90X successfully, without dying--Also on hold until after baby comes. Hopefully it will be a good way for me to lose the baby weight that I'm bound to put on!
11. Start volunteering at the Crisis Pregnancy Center--I am TRYING!!! I have sent in 2 volunteer applications, and sent countless emails. They always seem to need volunteers, so I really have no clue why they never get back to me.
12. Get a big bookshelf and organize our books--on hold until the new house.
13. Do an actual in-depth study of something in the Bible--haven't even started considering this.
14. Get back into running--also on hold until after baby. Though, I am working out more!
15. Learn how to can/preserve veggies from the garden--super excited about this one! I have saved a few blog articles about canning, so I'm looking forward to trying it in the fall.
16. Sew more--visions of baby things dancing in my head...I have a few patterns I want to try out (little booties and things), I just haven't done it yet.
17. Set the table for dinner more often instead of eating on the couch--utter fail.
18. Host a dinner party (hopefully at a new house)--on hold until after we get a new house.
19. Move forward with my women's resource center proposal (hoping!)--Done, sort of...it's no longer in my hands, so whatever happens is not up to me from this point forward.
20. Index and categorize valuables--I got an organization set called "Valuables.doc" that is full of Word templates and pages to categorize and keep track of things. But, I'm starting to think that I'd rather just do it electronically, so I may ditch that.
21. Put together an emergency supply box--Not done, though I think about it often.
22. Build closer relationships with friends--Working on it! I don't think this will ever be "done." I have been developing closer relationships to the ladies in our small group, and am excited to be able to spend some more time with them this fall, hopefully.
23. See a part of the USA that I haven't seen before--Haven't even thought about this one.
24. Organize and categorize my favorite recipes--I started doing this by just sticking the ones I love in a folder, but I need to come up with a better way to keep track of all of them.
25. Get and learn how to use photoshop or lightroom--I'm probably not going to do this after all, as both programs are really expensive, and I don't think I really have a need to spend that kind of money, since I just like taking photos as a hobby.
So....not doing all that great. But, in my defense, a lot of them DO have to wait until after we get a new house or after the baby comes. ...but yes, I know that's an excuse. Maybe I'll make a time-line with goals on it...

I'm appalled that you don't eat at your kitchen/dining table!!! Didn't your momma teach you better??? :P
Every time I sense I'm getting ahead of myself with my to-do list, I go and read yours. This is nutz! I love how this list could only be from Jill, it is so wonderfully thoughtful, self-aware, ambitious, and idealistic. My favorite Jillisms to-do's are "Read some classic literature." and "Put together an emergency supply box."
See us in CA and you can cross 23 off the list ;)
