11 weeks passed on Tuesday, so I guess I'm technically 11 weeks 4 days. I'm just so dang tired that I didn't really feel like getting on the computer when I could be vegged out in front of the TV after work. hah. laziness at it's best.
The Belly: The bloating comes and goes, but there's a little pooch that remains. I don't think it's technically the baby, but other things that are moving around to make room for the baby. I haven't taken a picture this week because, well, I just have been to lazy to set up the tripod. And it's not even in the case. It's standing in the corner of this room against the wall. It would take approximately 10 seconds to set it up and put the camera on it, but I just have no motivation to do it. So, no photo.
Symptoms: Have I mentioned nausea? This week has been not great, especially after work. Evenings are definitely the worst. I think overall it is fading, but I really just want it to go.away. I'm so, so tired of feeling sick. The acupuncture isn't really working all that well, only for a couple of days. Constantly feeling sick makes me more tired than I am, because it really wears me out emotionally. So, I'm mostly just tired and nauseous. And constipated. Which doesn't help the nausea. Sorry if that's TMI, you don't have to read my blog if you don't want to :) Also my temper has been getting shorter, probably because I'm sick and tired. I've blown up a few times and have been shocked at the level of my ridiculousness.
Weight: Don't know, haven't been to the store to buy a new scale. Someone told me yesterday that I look like I'm losing weight. I suppose that's possible, since I guess I haven't been eating as much. I have an appointment on Thursday, so we'll find out then.
Food Aversons: meat, still. Chicken is starting to be added back to that list. Pretty much any meat (or the thought of it) makes me gag, like I am as I write this. yuck. Crackers also are on the gag list. Ew, I probably am just going to stop thinking about what foods make me sick.
Food Cravings: Popsicles, still, and fruity ice cream. Pretty much everything else I just have to force myself to eat.
Cothes: My mom came and saved the day last weekend by taking me to Maurice's, Old Navy, Kohl's, and Motherhood Maternity. At the advice of my friend Lydia, I bought a bunch of tops that aren't maternity tops but certainly could double as such for awhile. That way I can wear them before and after baby, since none of my "normal" shirts fit anymore. I got a few more pairs of maternity work pants, which is great. My coats are getting tighter since they are all relatively fitted, so if it doesn't warm up soon, I'm probably going to go look at a second hand store for a coat that will fit.
Feeling: starting to get more excited. I think I'll be more excited after this next appointment, when we get to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time.
Other: We're trying to get Mojo to not sleep with us anymore, since we're planning on using a co-sleeper sidecar. It's not going well. He either stands next to me and whines (for hours) until I let him in the bed, or he just jumps in and I am so tired that I just don't care. We don't want to put him in his crate at night because we like the whole "watch dog" aspect of having him out. Any tips? Or am I just going to have to let him CIO? haha!
We're considering a home birth. I'm not sure if we'll do it or not, we have a lot to learn about it to see if it's even right for us. Luckily, being a doula, I have connections with an awesome group of women in the birth community, as well as women who have done home births, so we've got a lot of people to ask questions to. We'll see.

Hang in there, Jill! If it's any consolation, you LOOK radiant (even if you're feeling poopy!). ;)
In my experience, my ridiculous reactions have increased w/ the number of children I have, so I pray you have a better command of your temper than I do with mine. But, it is all a journey and all we can do is get back up again when we fall, right? After all, we have the very best example in Jesus, who got up after each time that he fell w/ the weight of the cross.
Looking forward to watching your journey!
