Our first Thanksgiving as a married couple was a great one. The week before, Jason's dad and brother came over to our house to celebrate Thanksgiving, and his dad's birthday. I had never made a big meal before, but decided to give it a go. After cooking alllll day, everything turned out great! I was very proud of myself. Here's what we had:

Mango Pomegranite Guacamole as an "appetizer"...we love any excuse to eat guac! And this guac was FABULOUS!! Honey and Spice Cranberry Sauce with roasted turkey breast that had Cranberry Apple Stuffing in it, Sweet Potato Puree with Smoked Paprika, the obligatory Green Bean Casserole, salad, rolls, and Pumpkin Pie for dessert. Deeelish! It was a challenge, but a lot of fun making it. And the best part was that Jason kept saying how great everything was, which of course made me feel like the awesome cook that, in reality, I'm not. It was a lot of fun!

For the actual Thanksgiving holiday, we decided to go to my family. It was at my parent's house, and was a lot of fun. My cousin Becca got engaged the day before, and announced it at Thanksgiving. It was really neat, b/c that's what we did, last year! Maybe it will become a family tradition...
